Tier System Fundamentals and Structure

Defining a Tier, Key Components, and Minimum Point Requirements

What is a Tier?

A tier is simply a status level within your loyalty program. Each tier represents a milestone that customers can achieve through their loyalty activity.

Tier Structure Components

Each tier you create within JeriCommerce requires specific defining components:

  • Name: The identifier for the status level (e.g., "Bronze", "Silver", "Gold", "VIP").
  • Required Points: This is the minimum points or spending amount needed for a customer to reach that specific tier.
  • Visual Assets: Optional image and content that can be used for display in customer wallets.

Example Tier Setup

The following is an example of a common tier structure and its corresponding minimum point requirement:

None / Bronze

0 points

This is the starting tier for all new customers.

Silver

1,000 points

Customers with 1,000 points or more qualify for Silver.

Gold

5,000 points

Customers must have 5,000 points or more to reach Gold.

Platinum

10,000 points

This is typically the highest tier level.

Key Takeaway

A customer's tier status is determined by whether they meet the minimum Required Points threshold defined in your setup.
